How Many Booth Staff Do You Need at a Singapore Trade Show?
Hire too few booth staff and qualified visitors walk past an empty looking stand. Hire too many and you are paying people to stand around. Getting the number right is not guesswork once you know what drives it.
The quick rule of thumb
As a starting point for a Singapore trade show, plan for roughly one active staff member for every three metres of open stand frontage, plus one dedicated lead capture person once your stand passes about nine square metres. A small three by three booth usually runs well with two people. A larger island stand at Singapore Expo or Marina Bay Sands might need six to eight across a shift.
Then adjust for these factors
- Footfall. A high traffic consumer show like FHA needs more hands than a niche technical event, simply because more people pass the stand per hour.
- Demos. If you are running a product demonstration, budget a demonstrator who does nothing else, plus hostesses to gather the crowd.
- Shift length. Nobody performs at full energy for ten hours straight. For long show days, rotate staff so your stand always feels fresh.
- Languages. Add a bilingual hostess if a meaningful share of visitors are regional buyers.
Do not forget the team lead
Once you are booking around six or more staff, a team lead earns their place. They manage the rota, keep the lead tally, handle breaks and give you a single person to talk to instead of chasing individuals. On our bookings, team leads are included free once you reach six staff, so there is no reason to skip one on a bigger stand.
When in doubt, tell us the stand
The honest answer is that the right number depends on your specific stand and goals. Send us the stand size, the show and roughly how many visitors you expect, and we will suggest a sensible team rather than upselling you.
